I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the counseling field for over five years, practicing in both residential and private practice settings. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, and a Masters of Education and Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University. My clinical work has included experience with children 10 and up, as well as adults of all ages; with a special interest in working with teenagers and their families in both individual and family counseling sessions.
I find great joy and purpose in my work as a counselor. I am always honored when a person shares their personal stories and inner world with me, and I take seriously the trust each client places in me when they choose to enter into counseling. It is my goal for the counseling relationship to be a collaboration between client and counselor. Each client enters counseling sessions with their own set of unique needs and circumstances, and I do my best to meet clients where they are currently in their journey.
My hope is that each client feels empowered during their time in counseling. While I can guide you in processing your experiences within a supportive, non-judgmental environment, I believe you are ultimately the expert on your own life and experiences. My role is to honor your story while also offering knowledge about psychological processes, family systems, etc. that may help bring you more clarity or new perspectives to consider.
If you so choose, I will be glad to partner with you in your counseling process.
